Tree Fund Details
Vision Carthage is accepting donations for our Tree Fund, dedicated to replanting trees lost in the recent storm. Every dollar contributed will go directly towards purchasing new trees for Carthage parks. Your donation can make a difference. For $500, a custom Carthage marble marker memorializing someone dear to you can be added to a tree type of your choice.

Order Trees
Once the Strategic Plan is finalized, Vision Carthage will purchase the selected trees and coordinate their delivery to Carthage Parks & Recreation.

The Carthage Tree Board and Carthage Parks & Recreation are collaborating to develop a strategic plan to determine the size, variety, placement, and quantity of trees needed.

Can I designate where trees will be planted?
Tree placement will be guided by the strategic plan created by the Carthage Tree Board in collaboration with the Carthage Parks & Recreation Department. This plan is based on insights from the recently completed tree survey, ensuring that new trees are thoughtfully aligned with the community’s needs.
Can I choose the type of tree that my money will go towards?
Yes, you can select a tree of your choice out of the designated list approved by the Tree Board. Those tree types include: Autumn Splendor Sugar Maple, White Oak, Northern Red Oak, Bald Cypress, American Elm, Shumard Oak, American Yellowwood, Red Rage Tupelo, Texas White or Oklahoma Redbud, John Pair Sugar Maple.
Can I purchase a tree and donate it?
At this time, we are only accepting monetary donations; unfortunately, donations of live trees cannot be accepted. We will follow the strategic plan to determine the specific sizes and varieties of trees needed. Our goal is to secure the best possible pricing and to obtain the largest trees suitable for our parks, ensuring a robust and lasting impact on Carthage’s landscape.
