Spring Planting Day

Ever wonder how those planters and hanging baskets around the Downtown Carthage Square bloom all spring and summer? It all starts with Spring Planting Day.

Downtown Carthage Square is the heart of our historic downtown area. It features boutiques, antique shops, delicious restaurants and bakeries, a hardware store, an inviting coffee shop, and much more.

Since 2018, we've organized Spring Planting Day annually to keep the downtown area looking its best. This year, our dedicated volunteers helped us start by planting on the Downtown Carthage Square, then we moved to the Public Parking area on 6th & Main Street, and finished up at Central Park, where we focused on picking up sticks and trash.
