Hometown Holidays Mayor's Tree Lighting

The Mayor's Tree Lighting took place at 6:30 PM the night of the Carthage Christmas Parade which is put on by Skills USA at the Carthage Technical Center. The lighting ceremony took place in front of the historic Jasper County Courthouse!

Mayor's New Tree:
Mayor Dan Rife's tree was much bigger this year and we went with an artificial tree this way we have something to depend on each year! It is a challenge to make anything look close to big enough next to the one hundred and six foot tall historic Courthouse, but we sure are trying!!

A big thank you to everyone who made this possible, as it's always a pleasure being able to host this event and kickoff the beginning of a bright night for the town!!
